In a significant stride towards environmental enlightenment, the Centre for Culture and Environmental Conservation (CECECON), has embarked on an educational crusade against climate change at Jisonayili M/A Basic School in Tamale, Northern region.
Climate change, a critical global issue, represents the significant shifts in global temperatures and weather patterns over time. CECECON, with its headquarters nestled in Tamale, is dedicated to the advocacy and sensitization concerning climate change, culture, and environmental sustainability across Ghana and beyond. Engaging in research, advocacy, and sensitization, the NGO aims to combat the pressing environmental challenges through informed action and policy.
During the recent visit to Jisonayili M/A Basic School, CECECON board members Dr. Issufu Amadu and Abubakari Belawu Mbanga emphasized the importance of educating the younger generation about the dire effects of climate change and the essential measures required to preserve the earth.
Highlighting the role of children as the forthcoming policy leaders, the campaign focused on shifting students' perceptions and understanding of climate change, instilling a deep-rooted awareness and a proactive approach to environmental conservation.

The initiative not only aimed to enlighten students about the harsh realities of climate change but was also to inspire a wave of change that echoes throughout their communities and future policies. By fostering an educated youth, CECECON is paving the way for a more sustainable and environmentally aware generation, ready to take on the challenges of the future with knowledge and action.
